Course Goals and Objectives:
- The goals of this course is to assist the reader in enhancing knowledge of client/resident rights and confidentiality laws in the state of Florida. This course will help participants better develop the necessary protocols to reinforce ethical business practices and honor client’s/resident’s rights in Recovery Residences/Mental Health and Substance Abuse Facilities
- The learning objective of this course is to educate the reader through definitions and case studies on what is mandatory reporting, who is a mandatory reporter, what has to be reported, definitions for reporting abuse, and the consequences of failing to report. This course will provide the reader with the instructions on how to file a report to the state. This course serves to empower learners to use supervision and evaluate current agency policies to assure mandatory reporting training occurs annually, that all employees have the resources needed to file reports, and that the agency culture is supportive of reporting.
