receive 6 CEUs after completing this course.
This course will acquaint you with the role of ethics in psychology and major ethical issues related to the field of psychology. You will learn about the ethical codes related to the practice of psychology and the way you can apply these to a variety of problem situations.
Goals and Objectives:
- The goals
of this course are to learn about what ethics are and why they exist. You will
explore your own personal values. You will learn about ethical decision making
and review ethical codes of the American Psychological Association (APA), the
American Counseling Association (ACA), and the Florida Certification Board Code
and dual relationships will be discussed. You will explore the philosophical
bases of ethics and learn to resolve ethical conflicts by using problem-solving
skills. Finally, you will discuss the models of ethical decision making to be
applied to ethical dilemmas.
